batman begins

went to see batman begins at the imax tonight
as a childhood fan of the original comic books I was very impressed - the best batman movie yet
two thoughts stuck with me, how discipleship is a hot theme in movies at the mo and how the imax bills itself, not simply as a cinema (or movie theatre as they say here), but as an 'experience' (which it undoubtedly is)

Sounds good. Went and saw the War of the Worlds at Rome's newest cinema - a giant UGC 24 screens ranging from 2000 seater to 500 seater. The cinema is about 10 times the size of Sheffield's I kid you not. There were 4 other people in the showing at 8:30pm. When we came out there were 14 people waiting to enter 20 other films - lol - v strange. Oh yeah the film was a bit weird in Italian and pretty poor ;-)

found wotw overrated and disappointing
the 'believability' gap was just too big and the 'they all lived happily ever after' ending made me wince
